Dear Loving Eyes Foundation Family,

We are excited to introduce you to your first set of 3D-printed glasses. This is your first step in testing if your frames fit well and are comfortable. As we work together, we hope to create a frame that is a good fit for your child. 

We are providing you with this kit of fitting materials to help you with this first test.  Included in this package:

• Ruler – Please use the ruler when taking pictures of how the frames fit on your child. Hold the ruler above the frames to provide a scale for our measurements. 

• Strap – Straps are provided for comfort and to keep the frames securely on your child’s face. Straps connect to the ends of the frame arms and wrap around the back of the head. Adjust the length of the strap as needed. 

• Nose pads - Removable nose pads may be used either for comfort or if the nose bridge of the frames is too wide for your child (use as many as need stacking them up until the fit is comfortable). 

As you tinker with these 3D-printed glasses to find the best fit, please have your child wear them for long periods of time while doing their usual activities for the most accurate feedback.  

As soon as you can, please provide 3 of photos of your child wearing the frames: (1) Front of the face, (2) right side profile including the fit behind the ear, and (3) left side profile including the fit behind the ear. Please also include additional photos to illustrate any specific areas of concern.  

These photos aid us in making adjustments as needed. We ask that you provide the photos as soon as possible so we can continue the design process without delays.

Nos complace presentarle su primer juego de anteojos impresos en 3D. Este es el primer paso para probar si los marcos de su niño/a le quedan bien y son cómodos. Trabajando juntos, esperamos crear un marco que sea adecuado para su niño/a. 

Le proporcionamos estos materiales de ajuste para ayudarle con esta primera prueba. Este paquete incluye:

• Regla: use esta regla cuando tome fotografías de cómo le quedan los marcos a su niño/a. Sostenga la regla sobre los marcos para darnos una idea de la escala.

• Correa ajustable: se proporcionan correas para mayor comodidad y para mantener los marcos seguros en la cara de su niño/a. Las correas se conectan a los extremos de los brazos del marco y se envuelven alrededor de la parte posterior de la cabeza. Ajuste el largo de la correa según sea necesario.

• Almohadillas para la nariz: las almohadillas para la nariz removibles se pueden usar para mayor comodidad o si el puente de la nariz de los marcos es demasiado ancho para su niño/a (use tantos como sea necesario hasta que el ajuste sea cómodo).

Haga que su niño/a use estos lentes provisionales durante largos períodos de tiempo mientras realiza sus actividades habituales, esta información es muy útil para poder hacer los ajustes adecuados.

Tan pronto como pueda, proporcione 3 fotos de su niño/a con los marcos puestos: (1) frente de la cara, (2) perfil del lado derecho que incluya la parte detrás de la oreja, y (3) perfil del lado izquierdo que incluya la parte detrás la oreja. Puede incluir otras fotos adicionales para ilustrar cualquier área específica que le concierne en cuanto a cómo le quedan a su niño/a los marcos.

Estas fotos nos ayudan a hacer los ajustes necesarios. Le pedimos que proporcione las fotos lo antes posible para que podamos continuar con el proceso de diseño sin retrasos.
