Loving Eyes Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to preventing vision impairment by leveraging, developing, testing, and implementing technology to create custom-fit glasses for children with unique facial anatomy.

The Opportunity
We are searching for a highly motivated student to fulfill the position of Clinical Operations Director. This rewarding position is great for students interested in ophthalmology who are taking a gap year. In this position, you will work directly with Dr. Alejandra de Alba (pediatric ophthalmologist and co-founder of the Loving Eyes Foundation), a designer/3D modeler, and patients from around the United States to create glasses unique to each patient’s facial anatomy. There are potential opportunities to pursue research and quality improvement projects relating to the projects in your responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Managing a cohort of patients to lead them through the frame design processes.
Collecting feedback on the fit of the glasses to make suggestions for design alterations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments
Additionally, you may be involved in the foundation’s operational processes and fundraising efforts
The time commitment for this role will vary depending on your availability and the project's requirements.
Compensation is $800 per month with no overtime.
